SANTA FE, N.M.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Governor Martinez has officially proclaimed Jan. 22-28 as New Mexico
School Choice Week, joining 14 other governors and more than 500 city
and county leaders nationwide in issuing similar proclamations.
With more than 21,000 independently planned events, including 190 in New
Mexico, National School Choice Week 2017 is the largest-ever celebration
of educational opportunity in U.S. history. Events include rallies,
roundtable discussions, coffeehouse meet-ups, festivals, school fairs,
National School Choice Week is a nonpartisan, nonpolitical effort
seeking to raise awareness about the school choice options parents have,
or want to have, for their children.

Held every January, National School Choice Week is an independent public
awareness effort designed to shine a positive spotlight on effective

planned events across the country, National School Choice Week raises
public awareness of all types of educational choices available to
