JACKSONVILLE, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Current and prospective families are invited to hear a State of the
School address on January 21, delivered by University Christian School
administrators, to celebrate the successes of the past year. There will
also be a school open house on January 31 with more information for
interested families. Both events are open to the public and are designed
to highlight the Christian-centered educational options at the school.
The State of the School address and open house are planned to coincide
with National School Choice Week 2016, the nation’s largest-ever
celebration of excellent options in education.
The State of the School event begins at 6 p.m. on Thursday, January 21,
and the open house starts at 2 p.m. on Sunday, January 31. Both are
being held at the school located at 5520 University Boulevard West in
Jacksonville. More than 650 students and parents are expected to attend
the events to show solidarity with the school choice options provided by
"School Choice allows us to provide a quality, Christian education to
families in the Jacksonville community who otherwise would not be able
to attend our school. As a result, we are able to impact the lives of
even more students by preparing them to continue their academic pursuits
and fulfill the calling God has on their life," said Heath Nivens, the
Head of School at University Christian School.
University Christian is a private Christian school that serves grades
PreK – 12.
